Dr. Alexander Paradissis
Dr. Alexander Paradissis defends and advises primarily in the field of white collar crime and tax criminal law. In addition to the classic areas of this field, he is particularly interested in proceedings requiring technical or scientific expertise. These include in particular IT, copyright, and medical criminal law, as well as criminal law advice and defence in connection with industrial accidents.
Already during his studies at the University of Trier, Dr. Paradissis engaged with the entire spectrum of criminal law, including in particular white collar crime and tax criminal law. After his studies, he worked at the University of Trier as a research assistant in the criminal law departments of Prof. Dr. Brigitte Kelker and Prof. Dr. Bernd Hecker. He received his doctorate there with a thesis on a general part of criminal law, for which he was awarded the Friends of Trier University Prize for Outstanding Doctoral Degree (Förderpreis für herausragende Promotionen des Freundeskreises e.V. der Universität Trier).
During his work as a research assistant, Dr. Paradissis regularly held lectures on criminal law and criminal procedural topics. In addition, he was a lecturer at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.
Dr. Paradissis is a member of the board of the Economic Criminal Law Association (WisteV). In addition, he is a member of the German Bar Association (DAV), the DAV Criminal Law Working Group and the Cologne Bar Association (KAV).
